It’s located ‘off the beaten track’ in the hamlet of Carew Newton, yet it’s just 10 minutes drive from Tenby. Beautiful beaches on your doorstep – click here for photos

Hillside Cottage is also near to Pembrokeshire’s best-loved beaches, including Broad Haven South and Barafundle, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Little Haven and Broad Haven (North) Manorbier, Freshwater East and West and Swanlake Bay.

The magnificent Carew Castle nearby

Take a few minutes walk down the country lane to Carew Castle. Set in a stunning location, overlooking a 23-acre millpond, Carew Castle is one of the must-visit attractions in Pembrokeshire. Take a delightful circular walk around the millpond – which has become a haven for birdwatchers – across a medieval bridge and up to the castle. On your way you’ll pass the only restored Tidal Mill in Wales and you can view the impressive 11th century Celtic cross situated at the front of the castle.

Excellent dining at Carew’s village pub

Just in front of the castle is the village pub – The Carew Inn, with an excellent reputation for first class food and drink. What better than a gentle evening stroll from the cottage, around the millpond to the pub for a delicious meal.

Safe, private garden

Hillside Cottage’s large, private garden is secluded, and well away from the lane so children and pets can play safely, under supervision, while you take in the views over the fields. There is a barbecue and garden furniture for you to enjoy al fresco dining!

Stunning coastal paths

The cottage is set in the heart of the South Pembrokeshire National Park – a beautiful part of the country with miles of world-famous coastline to explore, including awe-inspiring views of St Govan’s Head, Huntsman's Leap, Stack Rocks and Green Bridge of Wales and the evocative St Govan’s Chapel.

Pembrokeshire’s holiday highlights

You’ll also have a wide choice of places to visit, including the stunning Coastal Path, Bosherston’s famous Lily Ponds, Manor House Wildlife Park, Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton Activity Park, Folly Farm, Manorbier Castle, Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle and Mill, the bustling seaside town of Tenby and Caldey Island, the market towns of Pembroke and Narberth.
